Samsung has filed for a trademark term in Europe they're calling “Beast Mode.” This could mean nothing for Samsung's upcoming flagship, but many seem to think the Korean tech giant will run with it as a new feature on the Galaxy S8.
Details after the break.
Right now, there are no details on what “Beast Mode” could be. According to the trademark filing, it won't just be something included on smartphones, it could be something includes on other Samsung laptops and devices, too.
According to that filing, it will encompass the following categories:
“Smartphones; Mobile phones; Application software for smart phones; Computer software; Notebook computers; Computers; Tablet PCs; Portable computers; Netbook computers.”
Like we said, there are no official details right now, but it sounds like it'll be a performance mode you can set your phone or device in. For example, in the Android 7.0 Nougat beta for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, there is now a Gaming and High Performance mode. It's entirely possible that a “Beast Mode” could eek out as much performance as possible.
It'll be interesting to see if this is a feature Samsung brings to the Galaxy S8 come its launch next year, and maybe even how the company implements it into other devices.
It will also have Ludicrous Mode where it accelerates as fast as a Tesla.
Garbage Mode activated.
