DROID XYBOARD 8.2 unboxing and initial hands on review 3

It was back in February 2011 when Motorola launched the XOOM tablet with the promise of different form factors later in the year. They finally came through last month with the launch of the first DROID branded tablets, the XYBOARD 10.1 and XYBOARD 8.2. The 10.1 features a 10.1-inch display and is the same size as the XOOM, but much thinner. The 8.2 is a new size for them. It features an 8.2-inch (1280 x 800) IPS display. Much like the XOOM, they didn't launch a WiFi-only version at first. Instead they chose to go with LTE 4G versions on Verizon Wireless for now, but the WiFi-only versions just became available, and can be pre-ordered.

Other notable specs for the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 is a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, HDMI 1.4, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 2.1, and Android 3.2. The XYBOARD 8.2 is nice and thin at 8.9mm and is fairly light weighing 386 grams. It's available in 16GB and 32 GB for $379.99 and $479.99 respectively. Of course these prices are with a 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless. We will do a full review, but for now checkout my initial hands on.
