The Samsung Good Lock app was launched originally in 2018 and it brings a number of handy features that aren't present in stock One UI. We're going to take a closer look at the Clockface add-on that allows you to customize the clock on your device's lock screen and Always-On-Display (AOD). It’s a fun and easy way to change and customize the clock faces on your Samsung Galaxy mobile phone.
Clockface is integrated into Samsung’s Good lock app as an optional addition so if you already have the Good Lock app installed on your Galaxy device be sure to check that it's updated to the newest version. You can download the Good Lock app from Samsung's Galaxy Store app on your Samsung smartphone or tablet via the link below:
Download it Here: Good Lock App (Galaxy Store)

Download Good Lock in the Galaxy Store

Once the Good Lock app is installed, tap on the Clockface option to download the app

Open the Clockface app and tap on the Clockface option to download it to your device. The app will download and then you can begin to play around with its many options.
Getting started:

Open the Clockface app and choose Lock Screen or Always on Display mode. I have chosen the Lock Screen option for the first demo showing my own design but you can pick your own clock face. To make your own design click on the My Clock and tap on Create New.

You can now make your own clock face with the facility to change the style, add digital artwork and even GIFs to your design. I had a lot of fun with this. You can change the colours of the clock hands, font and backgrounds.

Options to change the color of the hour and minute hands. you just tap on the colour you want and it changes it on the clock face above.

Options for the pin at the centre of the analogue clock and the index of numbers going around.

If you are like me and prefer a digital clock face you can change this here. Tap on the ➕ icon and a small menu comes up. You can then select a digital face and date. This is also where you can add in Text, GIFs and Images by tapping on the relevant option.

Here you can see the digital face showing superimposed over the analogue one. The app does not remove the analogue face but with the many options it can be made quite clear to see both. This is probably one improvement I would make to the app.

After playing about with the colors and fonts for a bit I selected an image to go in the center of my clock using the menu above. I chose a cute cat face as the center of my design because I am after all owned by a cat but there are tons of options, and you can create or upload your own designs and images as well.

For the second demo I chose the Always On Display option and chose a pre-set design, to make a pre-set selection you tap on the Face option at the bottom of the page

This was really straightforward with a huge selection of faces to choose from. I have screenshotted a few selections below.

I chose the moon cycle option and tapped the edit pen icon. this took me into the app and allowed the option to set the North or South Hemisphere.

I then tapped the tick icon and the design was set to show on my Always on Display.

This was loads of fun to do and there are so many options to try out. Happy Clockfacing on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone!
