There's no denying that the Galaxy S21 Ultra is a beast of a flagship with an AMOLED screen that is a prime example of Samsung's expertise with display technology. Despite endowing the Galaxy S21 Ultra with a display boasting QHD+ resolution, Samsung insists that the phone ships with FHD+ as the default resolution.
Join us after the break where we'll show you how to switch the resolution up to WQHD+ (3200 x 1440) or perhaps down to HD+ (720p) on your Galaxy S21 and S21+ in just a few seconds.
Galaxy S21 review: one step back, two steps forward
We've embedded the how-to video above showing the step-by-step method of how to change the screen resolution on your Galaxy S21 and S21+ from FHD+ down to HD+ (720p), with the S21 Ultra also having the option of bumping it up to full WQHD+ resolution.
How to change the Screen Resolution
- Open up the Settings app on your Galaxy S21 handset
- Click on Display
- Scroll down to Screen Resolution
- Chose to keep FHD+ as default, switch up to WQHD+ if you have a Galaxy S21 Ultra, or move down to HD+ if you have the Galaxy S21 or S21 Plus
- Tap on Apply
And that's it. You'll either be saving some battery life by moving down to HD+ or using a little extra by switching up to WQHD+ in the case of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
