With smartphones at everyone’s fingertips, there’s really no need for all the hassle that comes with trying to keep track of a paper grocery list. There’s just nothing worse than getting to the store, only to find out you left it back at home, and now you’re frantically trying to recall what in the world was even on it.
That’s why we’ve compiled this list of our 10 favorite grocery list apps. Not only will you have your list with you at all times, but you’ll also be able to add things to it the second you think of them, and some even have features to add pricing and to set reminders. Grocery shopping has never been so efficient.
Smart Shopping List
Smart Shopping List will simplify the way you shop. You can easily create a thorough list, or you can create a “quicklist.” Smart Shopping List logs the most popular items you add to your lists, so that whenever you’re in a pinch, you can easily just tap those items to add them instead of searching, typing, and etc.
Another one of the key features that makes Smart Shopping List so smart is that you can organize your list by aisle. Yes, you read that right—if you have a particular grocery store you frequent, you can make sure your list goes in the order of the aisles, which keeps you from circling the place fifteen times to find the ketchup, saving you a ton of time in the long run.

Out of Milk
Out of Milk is definitely another one of our favorites. You can, of course, put together a grocery list, but you can also enter in all the prices of the individual items you buy. Out of Milk is a fantastic option whether you’re wanting to stick to a specific budget, or if you’re just naturally curious about how much you typically spend.
Another thing we love about Out of Milk is the ability to keep track of, well, what you’re out of. With the Pantry List feature, you’ll be able to add and track your staple items, to see what you’re getting low on and what you don’t actually need more of. Don’t have time to run to the store right now? No problem, because you can share any of your lists with another person.

Bring! Shopping List
Bring! Shopping List is extremely thorough, perfect for anyone who likes to stay organized and on top of every detail. It’s also an amazing option especially for those who will be sharing their lists with others in their household. Not only will you be able to have synced lists, but you’ll also get notified when another person is shopping, or when they add something new to the list.
Another great feature is that Bring! Shopping List is completely Android Wear compatible. So whether you forgot your phone in the car or are simply trying to minimize the amount of stuff you have to cart in and out of the store, you’ll never be without access to your list as long as you’ve got your Android Wear on you.

Organizy Grocery Shopping List
Organizy grocery shopping list is fun, colorful, and intuitive. Adding things to your list is super simple and fast, especially with their type-recognition database full of the most popular foods and brands. If you’re one to plan elaborate meals, it’ll be a cinch to add and keep track of everything, making sure you’ve covered it all, even down to the quantity of what you’ll be buying. On top of that, it takes seconds to swipe something off your list once you’ve bought it, so you won’t have to worry about re-buying something you’ve already bought.
Similar to Smart Shopping List, you can also utilize Organizy to group items on your list by aisle, making your trip to the grocery store seamless. And for those who are obsessed with color-coding, this is where you come in—each group of items on your list (or aisle) are color-coded, which is the perfect visual for making sure you didn’t miss anything.

That Shopping List
Are you looking for something a little less complicated, a little more simplistic, without compromising on the quality of the app? You can look no further than That Shopping List, where the simplicity will amaze you, as well as help you stay on track with all of your lists, including maybe the most important one: your grocery list.
With That Shopping List, you’ll be able to add foods and ingredients easily, right along with specific formats, such as “6 bottles,” or “2 gallons,” “4 slices,” or “1 lb.” Do you have a hard time organizing your lists? That’s no problem, either. With the quick touch of the “sort” button, any accidental list-writing chaos will be set to rights in seconds.

Smart shopping list – The Fooder. I am satisfied with the app
And also Our Groceries – not only aisle organising but you can also add photos of items, and use a desktop web browser to edit items. It is Android and iOS and syncs lists between devices.
Nothing beats Google Keep for me. Easy checklist is all I want. My wife can add to the list from PC at home and my list will update in realtime – a cool feature for last moment additions.
That would be good but you can not assign items to categories…thus I switched ot Out of Milk.
If you want a no-fuss grocery/shopping list that’s dependable across users – Bring! is the one. I’ve used all of those listed above. Either too complicated and has a steep learning curve, not intuitive, too many options for a simple task or unreliable sync features.
