You'd probably be dragged if you openly said the Nothing Phone 3a has a better performance-to-price ratio. But it's not entirely wrong. The 3a delivers solid performance for its price through a 120Hz display, competent cameras, and decent battery life. This year’s Nothing Phone 3 has clearly stepped up in specifications and features, but at nearly double the price.
Either way, both phones share the iconic glass back. It's slippery and scratches easily. A good case is a wise investment for you at this point and should keep your phone looking brand-new. Here are some options to consider.
Btstring shockproof silicone case
$11.99
Liquid silicone is a denser, higher-grade version of regular silicone, which is why you should buy this case. You couldn’t be mistaking it for cheap plastic because it has that smooth and almost velvety texture that's comfortable in hand. The microfiber lining inside cushions your phone's glass back and stops those faint scratches you usually don’t notice until it’s too late.
Lemaxelers heavy duty case
$11.98
If you have other reasons for buying the case, then you won’t mind covering up the back for its own sake. This case turns the phone into an armour with its ridged and strong back. It also has a metal ring that doubles as a kickstand when you don't feel like using your hands.
Osophter gradient flexible case
$8.99
This Osophter case has a purple-blue gradient design that gives it its neon glow. Because of that gradient, you don’t have to stress about the usual yellowing problem. Even if it happens, it blends right into the colors and you barely notice. The corners are reinforced for drops and the product overall is slim in hand.
JETech non-yellowing case
$9.99
Show off your phone's unique transparent design. Phone 3's see-through back and internal components are the main reason you paid premium pricing for this device instead of buying a standard flagship. This case preserves that distinctive aesthetic and gives you full visibility of the hardware and circuit boards.
Suttkue scratch-resistant case
$9.99
Suttkue’s case sits comfortably in between having pride in your phone and concealing it for safety. It has a semi-transparent polycarbonate back paired with a rigid shell and raised edges, so that you’re not completely leaving it naked to damage.
BonYonka silicone case
$9.99
Enjoy the feel of baby-soft liquid silicone finish on the outside and an indented ridged imprint that fits your fingers naturally to give it better grip. The inside is lined with microfiber and it has raised edges around the screen and camera.
There's nothing like a phone that doesn't age
Now that your Nothing Phone is safely housed in a case, take extra steps to protect it. I use a tiny dab of lens-safe silicone polish to restore my transparent cases, and discreet strips of fabric or painter’s tape under the edges to add grip. For cases that pick up odors, a night in a ziplock with baking soda works wonders. Your phone itself should be cared for. Always check the ports and gently clean them with a soft brush or compressed air.
