As if stamping your brand on a device that is supposed to be a Google experience phone strait from the mountains of Mordor isn't enough. Verizon has gone one step further and implemented some of their very own Verizon applications on the device. Why is it such a big deal? While some may think I'm just creating a rant where there isn't one, I'd argue the fact that a device coming strait from Google shouldn't have any carrier branding on the outside at all. Nor should the device come with any carrier's bloatware no matter how few the apps may be. This device should resemble that of the GSM version, carrier brand free and bloatware should be non-existent. This just goes to show you how much leverage Verizon had in the deal. In any event, the device has not only been spotted with the carrier's 4G LTE stamp on the back but has now been spotted with some apps on board as well. A “My Verizon” and “Backup Assistant” app has been spotted in the app tray. No big deal I suppose, but I'm sticking to my previous rant. However, I'll digress as best I can since it's technically only two apps and I'll point out that our friends over at Droid Life have also provided a video of the G-Nex's boot animation. In addition, there's a quick look under the battery cover for anyone interested. Hit the break to check the video out and don't forget to let us know what you think in the comments below.

STRAIGHT. Not “strait”. Yikes.
