KG Dogfighting returns to the Android Market, Portion of proceeds will benefit animal rescue organizations 4

In April, Dog Wars launched in the Android Market with a lot of expected controversy. It was removed and now it is back as KG Dogfighting, but the developer has promised that a portion of the proceeds will benefit animal rescue organizations.

This new version has been updated with advanced dog training levels, more items to train dogs with, and new guns for trainers to use in shootouts with “F.E.T.A.” — a fictional law enforcement agency.

“The last thing our culture needs is yet another form of profiting from the use and torment of animals,” said Lee Hall, vice president of the animal rights group Friends of Animals.

A developer at Kage Games, who will remain anonymous, said numerous threats were received by him and his team. For now he is going by the name “Pitboss, and he said that he is an animal lover who hopes to bring awareness to the “horrible reality of dog fighting.”

“For those who have questioned our intentions with this app, we have introduced the enforcement agency F.E.T.A. to teach our users there are consequences to dog fighting in real life,” said Pitboss

The developer page in the Android market states the following:

We've heard thoughts from many dog and animal lovers about our app and first we, as dog owners and dog lovers ourselves, would like to thank you for your thoughts and for the work many of you do on behalf of our canine friends. We DO NOT CONDONE violence towards animals or humans, and we are confident in humankind's ability to distinguish between a rudimentary game and the consequences of real life.

We are confident this game will be a net benefit to dogs as it has been in our operating agreement from the start of this project that a portion of the proceeds go to animal rescue organizations. Further, this is a satire about the ridiculousness of dogfighting and we believe in the power of a modern media tool to educate and raise awareness of the real horrors. Another portion of our proceeds are also being appropriated for catastrophic human tragedies, the first of which is the Japan Tsunami relief effort. We encourage everyone to donate to BOTH of these very important causes.

KG Dogfighting costs $4.99. Head over to the Android Market to download or hit our apps database for the QR code.

  1. Are you going to make a paedophile game next? This game is bad!!! I’m really shocked that you can get away with this. Keep your fucking proceeds! I am so angry right now.

    1. man are you for real its a game and who are you to judge anyone now real dog fighting yes its wrong go help a real dog the time you are here fighting for a game real dogs are in need for help dumb ass

  2. I love this game and I updated it and its asking for a transfer code so I can play the game I already started…I don’t want to start a new game. Where do I find the transfer code???

    1. Can you please help i cant make a new start they dont sending me transfer code can you sending me the code

  3. You are an ignorant, the games you mention emulates adult people who think by themselves and chose to fight, dogs does not have the inteligence or reason to know what they are doing exactly,is like putting two kids into a fight to death.:P

  4. It’s a damn GAME! Who cares?? Nobody complains about games where u hurt or kill HUMANS (Which there are thousands btw)! If u have a problem with a dogfighting game, then u should have a BIGGER problem with games like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc… Sh*t… you should even have a problem with Sonic the damn Hedgehog! Now that’s animal on animal violence!

  5. “Spin”, that’s exactly what they are doing. I doubt they give much if any money to these causes especially since they did not name one specific organization.
People who want to profit from a product like that don’t deserve one bit of trust from me.

  6. I hope nobody buys this crap. They knew the outrage they would create when they published this garbage. Now they hide behind the usual excuse of “modern media tool to educate and raise awareness of the real horrors”.

They should be ashamed of themselves and Talkandroid shouldn’t provide them with an advertisement platform like this here.

    1. Jim,

I do not condone the app, nor will I install it on my phone, even to take a quick look at it. Unfortunately it is news and the only reason we ran the story is because of the donations the developer is making. Granted we don’t know how much of a portion, but it is a positive spin on it.
