Google has announced a new $100 monthly AI Ultra plan at I/O 2026. It's for developers and technical users. It includes 5x higher usage limits than the Pro plan, Gemini 3.5 Flash, priority access to Google Antigravity, their agent-first development platform, and 20TB of storage.
The company made the announcement recently, and you can now upgrade for better offerings from your Google account settings. Here's everything to know.
Ultra means Pro plan features plus extra
Google's new AI Ultra plan is their most powerful subscription tier above the existing Pro plan. It costs $100 per month with 5x higher limits than Pro, while the second $200 option increases it to 20x. Each plan starts with 20TB of storage across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
You'll also get higher access to Gemini 3.1 Pro, Deep Research, Deep Think reasoning mode, and AI Mode in Google Search with Deep Search. Gemini Spark is also coming soon to connect you across your Google products and take complex tasks off your plate.
The AI agent supposedly works all day, and is currently rolling out to testers before hitting Ultra subscribers in the US. YouTube Premium Individual will also be included, and early access to the latest innovations.
It's worth noting that it's the standard single-user subscription tier for the subscription service. It gives you access to offline downloads and ad-free videos, among other perks.

- Multi-page report creation in Gemini and NotebookLM.
- Higher limits in AI Studio, Jules, and Android Studio.
- $40 monthly Google Cloud credits from the Developer Program.

- AI-powered calling for local businesses (US only).
- Family sharing with up to five people.
- Gmail AI Overview (US only).
Annoying prompt caps are going away
Prompting is a common act of sending a request to an AI model. Normally, each entry counts as one prompt when Gemini responds. Previously, Google capped how many of those you could send per day regardless of how simple or complex they were.
Now, they're measuring the computing power each request consumes instead, so a one-line question and a full video generation no longer cost the same thing against your limit.
We’re moving from daily prompt limits to a “compute-used” model. These new, compute-based usage limits in the Gemini app factor in the complexity of your prompt, the features you use and the length of your chat.
It's a better way to allocate limits, because a simple text prompt uses far less compute than a complex video or coding prompt. Your limit will now refresh every five hours until you reach your weekly limit.
If you're regularly hitting Pro's limits or actively building with Google's tools, it's worth considering. To upgrade your plan, open the Google One app then tap the menu icon in the upper right corner and tap Membership plans. Select the Ultra tier and follow the instructions to complete the procedure.
