Recent leaks have confirmed the existence of Lenovo’s Legion Y700 (2026) in two colours, and a new RGB ring around the rear camera. Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station leaker reveals on Weibo that the tablet will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. However, the specs are largely unconfirmed. Here's all the details we know so far.
Legion Y700 appears in black and white
Images of the Lenovo Legion Y700 show a slim, rectangular chassis with straight sides and sharp corners in black and white colour options. The back panel is plain and there's a single camera module placed vertically near the top left corner. It's slightly raised, with a circular RGB ring underneath it.

There's no information on what it does exactly. But it's most likely that it gives quick visual feedback without turning the screen on. You may be able to tell if the tablet is charging, fully charged, or active just by looking at it on your desk. During gaming or performance mode, it can indicate that the system is running at higher power.

The leaker confirmed that they previously handled an engineering sample, which has an 8.8-inch 3K LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 9,000mAh+ battery, and the single rear camera is 50MP.
Lenovo's new tablet brings significant upgrades
Lenovo will launch the Legion Y700 in China this March. He also adds that it will be the first flagship tablet in 2026 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It's Lenovo’s home market afterall, and there's no guarantee of a global release.
Previous Y700 models never left China in an official way. Lenovo sold them only in China, and anyone using one outside the country probably did so through imports or resellers. Hopefully, this year is different.
That said, Samsung is also preparing to launch the chip on the upcoming Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra. Both tablets have only just appeared on the GSMA IMEI database. They may launch in late summer, and all current leaks point to August or September 2026.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Legion Y700 is a high-end compact tablet, and brings much more upgrades based on the rumors. The 2025 model isn't too bad either. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 2.5K IPS LCD panel, and a 6,550mAh battery with support for 68W charging.
It also has a 1600 × 2560, while the 2026 model has a 3K LCD, still at 165Hz with sharper text and UI at the same refresh rate.
Battery capacity jumps from 6,550mAh battery to above 9,000mAh. The charging speed hasn’t leaked yet, but the capacity increase already means longer gaming and standby time, even if charging ends up slower.
The 2025 model was roughly $700. The 2026 Legion Y700 will almost certainly launch higher than that. A realistic expectation is that Lenovo may push it into the $750 to $850 range at launch.
