AI is making searches richer
In a recent blog post, Google states that 2025 had several major cultural moments that drove huge search activity. The top finds were on an American becoming pope. Pope Leo XIV’s (born Robert Francis Prevost) rise to papacy is fascinating indeed. It's historically been European.

Instead of short keyword searches like “Labubu real or fake”, examples Google gave include “What’s the deal with…”, “Tell me about…”, and “How do I…”.
“Tell me about…” had the highest percentage at 70%. One other search that trended was “How do I know if my Labubu is real?”. To answer the funny question, the packaging should have official POP MART branding.
