Samsung has officially begun rolling out One UI 7, its take on Android 15, bringing with it a host of enhancements and interface updates. First launched on 7 April 2025, the update has steadily expanded beyond its initial release markets—South Korea, parts of Europe, India, and the US—to a growing list of devices and regions.
A Gradual Launch, But Back on Track
After a brief hiccup in mid-April due to reported bugs, the update resumed on 17 April without derailing Samsung’s usual deployment pace. The rollout began with flagship models, including the Galaxy S24 series, the Z Fold 6, and the Z Flip 6. It has since reached the Galaxy S23 line, with support extending to previous generation foldables like the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.
Looking ahead, mid-range models—including the Galaxy A55, A35, and A15—along with the Galaxy Tab A9 and others, are expected to receive One UI 7 by June. However, some devices may receive the update sooner, possibly in late May, as Samsung appears to be eager to adhere to its revised timeline.
What About My Galaxy?
While Samsung hasn’t yet published a definitive list of every device getting Android 15, history gives us a clear indication. Devices still within their official software support window are likely to receive the update.
This includes:
- Galaxy S series: From the S21 to the brand-new S24 Ultra
- Galaxy Z series: Z Flip 3 onwards, and all Z Fold models from the Fold 3 upwards
- Galaxy A series: A14, A15, A54, A55 and others up to the A73
- Galaxy M and F series: Including the M14, M35, and M55 lines
- XCover and Tab ranges: Especially the rugged XCover 6 Pro and the extensive Tab S9 family
In some cases, the update timing may vary based on carrier-specific models or regional versions.
What’s New in One UI 7?
One UI 7 brings a suite of updates designed to refine the Android experience. Expect cleaner animations, improved multitasking capabilities, enhanced privacy tools, and a more cohesive look across Samsung’s ecosystem. Specific features have yet to be fully spotlighted, but early adopters have noted smoother app transitions and subtle design tweaks throughout the interface.
Some of Samsung’s newest mid-range phones, like the Galaxy A56, even come with One UI 7 preinstalled, giving users an out-of-the-box taste of Android 15.
