There are a lot of perks that you can get from being a subscriber to a postpaid carrier. They cost more than prepaid options, but it doesn't hurt to get one or two things extra, right? In the case of AT&T, one benefit that you could take hold of on an eligible plan was access to the AT&T Photo Storage app, which you could use to store photos and videos.
What made that app so great was that you could store as many photos and videos as you wanted, without a drop in their original quality. Needless to say, that has become a lot of people's major backup. Well, you're going to have to back up your backup, because AT&T is about to shut down that app.
The AT&T Photo Storage App Will Be Shut Down By February 2026

AT&T had a pretty nice perk for customers who subscribed to specific plans that it had. You would get access to the AT&T Photo Storage app, which served as cloud storage for your photos and videos. However, not only that, but you'd also be able to store an unlimited amount of photos and videos at their original file size, making it a pretty solid perk. No need to pay for Google One or Microsoft OneDrive.

Unfortunately for all of those who have stored thousands, or even tens of thousands of memories, in the AT&T Photo Storage app, the carrier plans to shut it down, after which, all of your data will be lost forever. Thankfully, you'll have plenty of time to save what you have stored in the app.

You have until February to find another location for all the files that you were storing with AT&T (through its partner Asurion). However, this could be relatively tough if you have terabytes worth of backed-up photos and videos.
Here's How to Save the Files That You Have on AT&T Photo Storage

This situation is bound to be a major inconvenience for AT&T subscribers, so the company has to make sure that it guides its customers through the process as well as it can. Through Asurion, it has described how you'll be able to download all your data in convenient archives.
- Sign in to the AT&T Photo Storage Web Gallery through this link.
- Once you've signed in, press “Request your archive”. Keep in mind that this step can take up to 48 hours to complete.
- When your archive is ready, you will get an email with a download link. Follow it and click “Download my archive”.
- This will take you to the Downloads section, and you'll see zip files, up to 5GB, containing all of your media. Download them individually to save them to your local storage. Note that the more total data you have stored, the more zip files you will see.
