AI tools aren't part of my daily workflow, but when I do use them, my default option is Google Gemini. The reason for that is simply because it is easy to access from an Android device and can easily be considered a step up from Google Assistant, a tool that was already a notable part of my Android experience.
For productivity, Gemini can be immense. It shortens internet research for me, especially because instead of robotic-sounding search terms, I can be a lot more conversational. It also helps with formatting content into lists, tables, and so on. And as of today, Gemini will be getting another productivity boost with the introduction of scheduled actions.
Google Gemini Gains Scheduled Actions for Convenience and Productivity

I have been using Google Gemini here and there since the days it was known as Bard. While I don't rely on it to do all of my thinking for me, it serves as a tool that can save you quite a few minutes when doing research or trying to format existing text in a very specific manner. AI chatbots like Google Gemini can be major productivity tools if you use them in the right fashion.
If you're big on using Gemini to streamline your workflow and your daily life, you're going to be a fan of its newest update. Google has announced that starting today, you'll be able to schedule Gemini to perform specific actions. Before, it could only do what you asked it to at the moment that you were asking it, so this introduces an entirely new viewpoint. You can go to bed, knowing that you've told Gemini to do a specific thing in the morning.
Here Are Examples of Tasks You Can Ask Gemini to Schedule

With this new update, you can tell Google Gemini to remind you of something at any time of the day. You can even get it to do so in a recurring fashion instead of just once. There are so many ways that something like this could be incredibly useful, so let's explore a few:
- Scheduling a round-up of important notifications and emails in the morning
- Reading out a quote or passage every morning
- Providing sports updates the moment a match you didn't have the time to see ends
- Delivering updates on major events, like smartphone launches, the day after
Scheduled Actions Will Only Be Available With a Google AI Pro or Ultra Plan

While this feature sounds pretty great (I personally can't see too many ways I myself would rely on it), it is essential that you know you'll only be able to access this feature—once it rolls out to you—if you have a subscription to Google AI Pro or Ultra. There's nothing on the platter for those of us on the free plan.
But hey, if this sounds really good to you and you're willing to subscribe to get it, here's a quick look at how Google's various AI plans relate to each other.
