We're living in the era of AI, and considering how much money massive companies like OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft have invested in hopes of a future filled with AI left and right, I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon. Google Gemini is probably the most convenient AI platform for Android users since it is now a part of the ecosystem.

Today, Google has unveiled a new tier to its subscriptions for Gemini, and that's the premium Google AI Ultra plan, which brings pretty much everything that Google has to offer on the AI front. At the same time, at Google I/O, the company has unveiled its newest generative AI tools for creating images and videos.

Google AI Ultra Brings a Ridiculous Amount of AI Magic to Your Fingertips

In my daily life, I use AI as a powered-up search engine more than I use it for anything else. However, for some people, it is a productivity tool and is absolutely essential for their workflows. For people like this, you can benefit quite a lot from getting the absolute best AI experience that Google has to offer, both within Gemini and outside it.

Google AI Ultra costs a lot, though. In fact, it costs an absolutely ridiculous amount of money. You'll be paying $249.99—not per year—per month. That comes to a $3,000 bill at the end of a full year, but hey, maybe that's worth it to you. However, it is $124.99 for the first three months for new users.

There's a whole lot that comes with this new subscription tier, and compared to Google AI Pro, the existing subscription, a lot gets better. It gets the highest usage limits of any plan, but brings some more good stuff:

In case you don't know, Google I/O 2025 is currently ongoing, which explains why there's all this news about Google tech. In other news, but still related to AI, the tech giant has just announced new generative media models, and they are absolutely scary in how capable their products are. Let's talk about them:

  • Veo 3: Google's video generation model doesn't just get better quality, but now, it can add audio too. It's not just voices; this model can even add background sounds like traffic, nature, and so on.
  • Imagen 4: Imagen can generate fine details like fur, fabrics, and water drops. Plus, it can create images in a range of styles and up to 2K resolution. Typography used to be a weak point, but that's so much better now.
  • Lyria 2: Google's music generation tool is better than before and can be accessed through YouTube Shorts, Vertex AI, and Google AI Studio.
  • Flow: This is new, and is what Google calls an “AI filmmaking tool”. It lets you put Gemini, Veo, and Imagen all into one place, letting you manage all the aspects of a movie in one convenient place. It is available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, but only in the US for now.

You can learn a lot more about these new models from Google's blog post detailing them.
