Realme is one of the most competitive smartphone brands in certain parts of the world since they've made it their mission to offer specs that blow competing devices, on the budget rungs of the ladder, out of the water. The Realme 12 Pro series was unveiled at the start of the year and did just that, launching at an equivalent of $310.

Now that we've breached the second half of the year, the Realme 13 Pro series is on the horizon and we can now officially tell you what date to set your reminders to. The Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ will officially launch in India on July 30th.

Realme Promises Fantastic Camera Performance, Thanks To HyperImage+

Realme has made efforts to tease us just enough regarding its upcoming devices and the company seems to be particularly proud of what it has done with the camera system in these devices. It's advertising the Realme 13 Pro devices as coming with an “Ultra Clear Camera with AI”, and the AI part in that refers specifically to the company's new architecture which it calls HyperImage+.

Of course, there's a lot of marketing jargon, but the company says this new architecture is built for “mobile photography in the AI era. I can't say I'm entirely sure of what that means, but as long as it makes the photos better, I'm on board. Realme says it is “the industry's first AI photography architecture” too.

We do know a bit more about the camera system of the Realme 13 Pro+, such as the fact that it is going to be toting a 50MP main camera with OIS and the first one to launch with Sony's LYT-701 sensor. That will be paired with a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera on a Sony LYT-600 sensor. Both of these camera modules are TUV Rheinland High-Resolution Camera Certified, the first of its kind, which says something about the image quality you can expect from them.

That's a lot of talk though. Above, you can check out image samples from the Realme 13 Pro+ taken by our Talk Android editor, Peter Holden, and judge the portrait, low-light, and zoom quality on your own.

The Realme 13 Pro Series Launch Is Coming On July 30th; In Just About Two Weeks

Realme is teasing the devices, and in about two weeks, on July 30th, you can expect them to be revealed in all of their glory. The design of the upcoming smartphones has been made in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, which is something you don't tend to hear when it comes to device partnerships. The design is inspired by the art of Claude Monet and draws from two of his most famous pieces —Grainstack (Sunset) and Water Lilies — to provide us with the Monet Gold and Monet Purple colorways.

From the few images that Realme has already made public, I have to say that I sort of like the finish on the back panel, especially on the Monet Gold model, and I look forward to seeing both smartphones in full. Hopefully, they'll live up to the hype Realme has built for them.
