Samsung enthusiasts can now put that triple-mark on their calendars for the company's next Galaxy Unpacked event. The event's date and location are now double confirmed to be this early July in Paris, the City of Love. The reasoning for this move stays the same, of course, and we get a bit more context following this second verification.
Twice the Revelation
The very first whispers of this news started in April, when leaks and various sources unveiled Samsung's plans to hold its second Unpacked event sometime in early July. This was at a time when the company had yet to send out official invites, since there was still a good month or two gap before any official news was revealed.
Lo and behold, today we get yet another confirmation from reliable tipster Evan Blass via X, who teased a countdown page for the event. Yes, it listed the very date we already knew, plus the actual timed schedule. And according to the leaked GIF, we have roughly around 25 days left at the time it was shared.
What to Expect Again?
As with any Unpacked event, expect a good number of highly anticipated devices to make their official debut. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will undoubtedly be the main attractions, showcasing the latest advancements in foldable smartphone technology.
Alongside these flagship devices, the Galaxy Watch 7 (Galaxy Watch X?) and at least one new pair of wireless earbuds are also expected to make an appearance. Perhaps most intriguing is the Galaxy Ring, the surprise smart ring that was teased at the previous Unpacked event. Many highly expect that the event will provide a deeper look into its features, and how it fits into the growing Galaxy ecosystem.
Of course, like all other tech players at the recent Computex 2024, expect Samsung to pounce even harder on the AI buzz. The event would most likely also heavily highlight Galaxy AI’s latest innovations and their impact on the overall Galaxy user experience moving forward.
Last Minute Change? Not Likely.
While the July 10th date has been confirmed twice, it's important to note that such plans can always change. Especially the hour-to-hour schedules. However, barring any major last-minute adjustments, we can more or less expect a jam-packed event that would provide more substance in hardware value. At least, enough physical product announcements to carry over the community hype that has been building since January 2024's Unpacked event.
Besides, the 2024 Summer Olympics will also take place in the same place at the same time. As Samsung is one of the biggest worldwide sponsors of the games, the timing couldn't be more fitting (or deliberate).
