As we edge toward the official launch date for Motorola's new Razr 40 Ultra (Razr 40+ in the US), an official promo video has appeared on the internet which shows the device, its cover display, and pretty much everything else you might want to see. Besides being the largest cover display on a clamshell smartphone, the video also shows that it's going to be one of the most capable as well.
The leaked video comes courtesy of Evan Blass and, as you can see above, shows the Razr 40 Ultra's cover display being able to show messages, be used for Google Maps, check your mobile payment apps, plus the more usual tasks such as media playback and being used as a viewfinder for your selfie pics. It's almost like Motorola took the view that the Razr 40 Ultra's cover display should behave as a regular smartphone display as opposed to being limited to a few arbitrary features.
The video goes on to emphasize that the crease on the internal display will be minimal, although that's something that will need to be checked in person due to the magic of camera angles.
June 1st isn't too far away and we'll be on the ground at the Motorola Razr 40+/Ultra launch event to provide coverage.
