ROG Phone 7

Next up on the flagship smartphone schedule is Asus with its announcement that it will launch the latest in its range of gaming smartphones on April 13th. Appropriately named the ROG Phone 7 Series, the range will ‘come equipped with the latest flagship Qualcomm processor' which means we can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to be front and center.

The ‘ROG Phone 7: For Those Who Dare' launch event will be an online-only presentation on April 13th to show off the new handsets. According to the marketing blurb, the ROG Phone 7 Series will feature a revamped cooling system, next-level immersive gaming, a monster battery (6,000mAh?), and ‘incredible gesture control'.

Asus is also promising a new, unique design with contrasting colors and materials to set it apart from its predecessor.

The virtual launch event kicks off here on April 13th at the following local times in these locations:

  • Taipei: 8 PM
  • Berlin: 2 PM
  • New York: 8 AM
  • London: 1 PM

Besides being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, we can probably expect the ROG Phone 7 Series to pack in AMOLED displays with high refresh and touch sampling rates, super fast charging, and more. What would you like to see on the ROG Phone 7 Series?
