MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 chipset brings gaming and imagery boost to the mid-range

Here with a new mid-range chip is MediaTek whose Dimensity 7200 processor aims to bring a boost in gaming and photography to the segment. With an impressive array of chips in recent times which have boosted its reputation in terms of performance, power efficiency, and affordability, MediaTek's new Dimensity 7200 chipset aims to continue the trend.

Built using TSMC's 4nm process, the Dimensity 7200 packs a pair of Cortex-A715 performance cores with six Cortex-A510 efficiency cores, with the Mali G6100 MC4 GPU providing the graphics. The Mali GHU is can support displays with up to 144Hz refresh rates, HDR10+, as well as Dolby HDR. There's also support for UFS 3.1 storage plus the inclusion of MediaTek's HyperEngine 5.0 which features AI-controlled Variable Rate Shading.
