Poco has today announced the arrival of its latest series of mid-range smartphones, the X5 and X5 Pro, which are powered by Snapdragon processors and feature 6.67-inch AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates. Both models come with legacy features such as an IR Blaster and audio jack, running on Xiaomi's MIUI 14 software.
As mentioned, both the Poco X5 and X5 Pro feature the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the X5 is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, the X5 Pro benefits from the more powerful Snapdragon 778G. The X5 has 6/128GB RAM and storage while the X5 Pro offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.
Both models sport a 5,000mAh battery with the vanilla model featuring 33W wired charging which achieves a full charge in just over an hour. The X5 Pro has 67W wired fast charging which can charge the battery to 30% in just 7 minutes.
The pair of handsets feature the same 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor on the rear panel, with the X5 having a 48MP main sensor and the X5 Pro a 108MP main sensor. The X5 and X5 Pro have 13MP and 16MP selfie cameras, respectively.
As is common with many affordable smartphones, the Poco X5 series boasts an IR Blaster and a 3.5mm audio jack, along with NFC and dual speakers.
The Poco X5 will come in green, blue, and black colorways, and in 6/128GB and 8/256GB variants priced at £279/£319, with early-bird pricing of $199/£249 $249/£289 depending on the version.
The Poco X5 Pro, on the other hand, comes in at £369 ($299/£329 Early-bird) and can be had in yellow, black, and blue colorways.
