Anker's Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle has finally made it on to Amazon sporting a hefty price tag and regular Android TV. Somehow, a brand that is known for offering value-for-money has decided to switch it up and manufacture an Android TV dongle that at $89 actually costs more than the Chromecast with Google TV.

With just 8GB of storage (our main gripe with the Chromecast with Google TV device) and 2GB of RAM, the Nebula 4K dongle is a tad expensive.

Able to stream content at 4K resolution and at a maximum of 75Hz, the Nebula 4K boasts Bluetooth 5.0, 5G WiFi, HDR, Dolby Digital Plus multichannel audio, as well as HDMI 2.1 and Chromecast functionality. On the downside, there are no USB ports available with only a MicroSD card slot to complement the HDMI socket.

The best thing about the Nebula 4K could be its remote which is based on Google's reference design and offers a simple but effective way of controlling the dongle. With dedicated YouTube TV, Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime buttons, the remote also sports direct access to the Google Assistant via the mic button.

If it's the authentic Google TV experience that you need, then you may as well buy the Chromecast with Google TV from the Google Store for $50 and save a few bucks in the process. But if you have a fondness for black boxes, then Anker's Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle is available on Amazon for $89.99.
