Ubisoft Plus subscribers can now play is now available through Google Stadia

Google Stadia

Last seen being included in Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service as an add-on channel, Ubisoft Plus is adding support for Google Stadia over the next few days. It means that Ubisoft Plus subscribers will be able to stream Ubisoft titles on Stadia with no additional cost involved, so long as they have compatible devices to hand such as a gaming controller, smartphone, laptop, or the Chromecast Ultra.

Ubisoft Plus members can sign up for a Stadia account on the free tier to stream Ubisoft games in 1080p resolution, with 4K resolution available to those that upgrade to the Stadia Pro tier. The bad thing about this great new feature is that it’s currently only available to Ubisoft Plus subscribers in the US at this time.

The addition of Stadia support for Ubisoft Plus means that players can access PC versions of games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and more without the need for a dedicated gaming PC, lowering the bar of access without necessarily lowering the enjoyment factor.

Google Stadia may have stagnated for much of 2020, but the recent Cyberpunk 2077 promotion where Stadia Premiere bundles were thrown in for free has helped make it an attractive platform, especially among those that have been unable to purchase a new gaming console such as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
