The single-purpose Amazon Kindle tablet doesn't capture headlines quite like Amazon's other devices, but that doesn't mean it won't get upgrades every once in awhile.
The newest rumor comes from an updated Amazon store listing that hints at a new regular old Kindle reader, and it might have an upgraded screen to make that reading even better.
Amazon Kindle 2020 (or 2021?)
We've got a pretty good idea that this is happening because Amazon updated the listing for the regular Kindle to note that it's the 2019 edition. It didn't say this before, and this typically happens when Amazon needs to differentiate models after an upgrade.
So what could be new with a Kindle tablet? Not a lot, unfortunately, since the Kindle doesn't do much else besides read. We're anticipating an upgraded screen that should be a little more sharp, and it might pick up USB-C charging, too.
Additionally, the Kindle Paperwhite is expected to see an upgrade soon, too, getting the color temperature display that the Kindle Oasis currently uses.
If you're a big reader, you might have some fun new gadgets to play with very soon.
