Samsung is at the forefront of bringing 5G to more affordable phones, and they've announced yet another mid-range option that can connect to next-gen networks. Meet the Galaxy A42 5G, which aims to deliver a solid smartphone experience without breaking the bank.

Galaxy A42 5G announced

Instead of sticking to a smaller form factor like the Galaxy A40 and A41, Samsung is beefing up the Galaxy A42 5G. You're getting a massive 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display here, with plenty of horsepower under the hood.

Not only does the device promise faster 5G network speeds, but it's all powered by a Snapdragon 690 CPU and presumably 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Samsung has opted for a quad-camera setup on this phone with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP macro lens, as well as a 5MP depth sensor. That should allow this relatively affordable phone to capture a wide variety of photos in tons of situations.

One of the most noticeable design changes is on the back of the phone which now has a segmented color design. There are four different shades layered vertically down the phone, which definitely looks striking and unique next to most other phones on the market.

Samsung has been a little quiet about actual launch details, but we do know it'll cost 369 Euros when it launches in November in select countries. You'll be able to pick up the phone in black, white, and gray.
