If you've been thinking that it would be nice to use the big screen in your room for your video calls, Google has heard you. The search giant has announced that its Android TV platform will soon support the Duo video calling app by way of a beta.

Google hasn't revealed much in the way of details, but those with Android TV devices will soon be able to conduct their video chats via the big screen. If your TV doesn't have a built-in camera, like the majority of TV's out there, you will apparently be able to plug in a USB webcam.

Users will then be able to initiate one-on-one and group video calls via their televisions using their Android TV devices if that's something you've been wishing you could do.

Is it something you would use? Let us know in the comments below.
