OnePlus is no stranger to quirky marketing campaigns, and they're not letting up for the OnePlus 8. The latest commercial showing off everything the OnePlus 8 Pro can do casts Robert Downey Jr. as a busy man who needs a busy phone to keep up with his busy life.
At least until he gets into a water gun fight and jumps into a phone with his brand new IP68 certified OnePlus 8 Pro.
Would Iron Man use a OnePlus 8 Pro?
It's a fun commercial. It's shot for international markets, though, so don't expect to see it in the US.
This commercial is also apparently where some early shots of the OnePlus 8 leaked, too, interestingly enough.
The ad does do a pretty good job of running through everything the OnePlus 8 Pro can do (5G, wireless payments and charging, excellent cameras, waterproofing) in a short two-minute clip that's pretty entertaining from start to finish. It's hard to imagine anyone but RDJ pulling this commercial off quite so well, so I think OnePlus nailed the casting.
