
The OnePlus 8 Series may have only launched a couple of days ago but a software update is already rolling out to new handsets. This means that when consumers begin receiving pre-ordered devices there will be an update ready and waiting for them to download on day 1. The new build of OxygenOS brings a host of fixes and tweaks for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, along with network and connectivity optimizations as well as the March security patch.
The update comes in at 122MB and brings the OxygenOS build number up to v10.5.4, adding features such as Google's Live Caption function as well as support for the Bullets Wireless Z earphones. We've got the full changelog for you below:

- OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z can now be integrated with Dolby Atmos for better sound quality
- Added double-tap feature to wake-up lockscreen in ambient display mode or off-screen condition

- Added Live Caption that detects speech in media and automatically generates captions
- Updated Android Security Patch to March 2020

Fingerprint Unlock
- Optimized the fingerprint unlock experience when unlocking the device

- Enable Three UK 5G
- Enable Sweden Tele2 VoWiFi
- Enable T-Mobile Austria VoWiFi
- Optimized network data transmission performance and stability
Voice Assistant updates
- Now you can wake up the voice assistant of your choice by long-pressing the Power button
