Motorola Edge+

With MWC being canceled this year, it left a lot of phones without an announcement. Motorola was supposedly gearing up to debut the Motorola Edge+ at the annual event, but since then it just seems like we've been seeing trickle leaks while they prepare another standalone event for the phone.

This isn't the first time this phone has leaked, but it is probably the best look we've gotten at it. These renders, courtesy of @evleaks, show off the phone from every single angle and in two different colors, which means they're most likely press renders that Motorola will be using for official material.

These images showcase the waterfall display that wraps around the sides of the phone, the protruding camera bump, and hole punch in the screen for the front-facing camera. It more or less confirms that the last few leaks we've seen have been accurate, too.

We don't quite know what to expect out of the screen, however, but rumors have pointed to a 6.67-inch display with a 90hz refresh rate. The back camera appears to have a 108MP sensor, which pits the Motorola Edge+ right against the Galaxy S20. The other two lenses aren't immediately apparent, but most phones like this rock a telephoto and ultrawide angle lens, so it's a safe bet that Motorola goes that route too.

This phone is expected to be a Verizon-exclusive, bringing back an old trend that we're not particularly happy about. It'll likely be 5G-capable, considering it'll definitely use a Snapdragon 865 CPU, and it's rumored to pack in a 5000mAh battery.

It looks cool. Let's just hope it's priced decently enough to make people consider trying out a flagship Motorola phone again.

  1. I have a problem with curved screens as they are harder to hold onto & allow dirt to get under the edges of a screen protector. I prefer bezels to this dumb idea of no bezels. One drop & your screen is toast.
Give me phat speakers top & bottom instead of none.
& Please move the power button back to the top. I can’t count how many times I accidentally hit it just holding it in my hand.
