Here's a pretty crazy deal: if you have a broken Samsung Galaxy smartphone, Sprint will fix it for you. They don't care what carrier you're on right now, and they're offering this deal for just $49. That's pretty cheap compared to going to just about any other repair place and spending a couple hundred bucks fixing your screen.
Sprint's Galaxy repair deal
So what's the catch? Honestly, doesn't really seem like there is one. The list of phones might disqualify you (they're not repairing Galaxy Note 10 screens or anything) but it's still pretty comprehensive for modern phones.
- Samsung Galaxy S7
- Samsung Galaxy S8
- Samsung Galaxy S8+
- Samsung Galaxy S9
- Samsung Galaxy S9+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8
The Galaxy Note line seems to be notably absent, but that could just be that the Galaxy Note 9 is a bit too new. The Galaxy S9 is coming up on its two-year mark, so those customers are potentially eligible for a new phone soon… and that's probably why Sprint's doing all of this.
The deal gets you into a Sprint store, makes you kill some time, and gives you an opportunity to talk about Sprint about switching over or trying their network. Considering Sprint does typically have some incredibly aggressive new customer deals, and they'll give you $150 on a trade-in regardless of whether or not your phone's screen is broken. Pretty smart move, assuming they don't lose their hat on screen repairs.
