If you miss the despairing feeling of being bankrupt while a relative who loves sending you to jail lives it up as the owner of multiple hotels, you'll be happy to learn of a new Monopoly game that is coming soon to the Play Store. This latest Monopoly game is developed by Marmalade Studios who are responsible for releasing mobile versions of Hasbro's Battleship and The Game of Life.

The pre-registration page on the Play Store doesn't mention a price, but it does state that there are In-App-Purchases which will likely be for cosmetic items as opposed to affecting gameplay if Marmalade's other games are anything to go by. An added bonus is that the game is described as ‘ad-free' which could mean that there will be a small up-front charge to be paid, as there is on the game's listing page on Apple's App Store ($3.99).

As for the game itself, Marmalade Studios say that users will be able to experience the ‘thrill of bankrupting their friends and family online or in local multiplayer' with both classic and quick-play modes available.

Features:

  • Original Board Game – Play the game you know and love!
  • Family-friendly – Completely ad-free and fun for everyone!
  • Localized Boards – The largest number of localized boards any digital MONOPOLY game has ever offered
  • 4 Ways of Playing – Single Player, Pass & Play, Private Online Multiplayer, Open Online Multiplayer.
  • Different Game Modes – Classic and Custom Mode which includes Quick Mode as well as house-rule options.
