It's not often that we get to see prototype devices well before any kind of launch or announcement, but someone has managed to get their hands on a very early OnePlus 7 design. It's definitely not a production model or anything close to it, but it does give us a look at what to expect OnePlus to do with their next flagship iteration.
The prototype device has basically no bezels, with the screen seemingly stretching to the very edges of the phone. It's a pretty crazy design that should be among the best we've ever seen. But instead of pulling a Samsung or Huawei and cutting a hole in the screen for the camera, OnePlus seems more interesting in using the sliding mechanism to hide the camera inside the phone itself.
Take all of this with a grain of salt, though, since the OnePlus 6T literally just came out. This prototype is going to be a very, very early design of the phone, so that sliding mechanism and the bezels could definitely change if OnePlus can't really make it work or can't get it ready for mass production in time for launch.
But if it does actually happen? That's a pretty slick looking device, and it could be the spark that gets more manufacturers to adopt this style for future phones.
Or the motor in the sliding mechanism could be a massive point of failure and all of these devices break a couple months in. You never know with these things.

Pretty much the same design as the Oppo Find X so no surprise OnePlus is trying this out. I think the design is a brilliant idea however it is most likely going to be the point of failure due to dust and dirt getting trapped in there. If you take Jerry Rigs Everything a good indication of durability, I am hoping that OnePlus builds on the design and make it more durable than the Oppo Find X and make the pop out camera section a bit more sturdy. Of course, everyone is expecting the OnePlus 7 to be more expensive than the 6T.
