Samsung has already shown the world it's serious about foldable displays, but we also know Huawei is angling to release their own take on the format sometime next year. But aside from acknowledging that the device is coming, Huawei hasn't really disclosed anything else about the device. That's never stopped leaks, though.
While the device is still a few months away from an actual release, Huawei showed the folding phone off to Korean cell carriers in a state that was reportedly much more finished than you'd expect. That means we're well past the barely-functioning-prototype phase.
Other details include an 8-inch display that's slightly larger than Samsung's display, plus 5G compatibility. That 5G spec is partially why Huawei is chasing the Korean market, as they'll have a 5G network up and functional in the first half of 2019.
You can expect to see Huawei formally announce the device at MWC in March of next year.
