LG is set to officially show off the V40 ThinQ on October 3rd, but they just couldn't wait to share their latest and greatest with the world ahead of that. They've posted a blog with most of the details of the phone and included a slick teaser video to get you excited for their event less than a week away.
Unfortunately, this detailing has also pretty much confirmed that LG isn't doing anything drastic or crazy with their device this year. The design language is still more of a refinement than a game changer, so aside from the triple camera system on the back you're still going to think this is any other LG phone from a distance.
However, LG has done a few things like apply a Silky Blast (what) treatment to the rear glass of the phone, creating microscopic pits that should make the phone easier to hold. It will also come in new versions of the same colors, appropriately titled New Aurora Black, New Platinum Gray and New Moroccan Blue. Yep, not making any of that up.
There is a new Carmine Red color, though, which I personally think looks fantastic.
Otherwise the screen is slightly bigger, the bezels are slightly smaller, and that camera should take some pretty stellar photos. Check out the teaser video below, and buckle up for that event next week.
