Olloclip is known for making extra lenses that you can buy for your smartphone to take different kinds of shots with your camera. That includes things like macro and telephoto lenses, but also fish-eye and wide angle lenses. For anyone that needs their phone camera to be as versatile as possible, they're invaluable.

The only problem with Olloclip's current offerings is that they're usually pretty device specific, so if you're not buying a mainstream, high-end phone, you're out of luck. The good news is that they've announced a new universal clip that should work with pretty much any phone, opening that up to many more people.

Technically this clip can work with anything with a camera so long as it isn't over 12mm in thickness, including the device, case, and screen protector. So, theoretically, you could slap this on a tablet, too. It can also be switched quickly between your front and rear facing cameras, for wide angle selfies.

The clip is compatible with Olloclip's Connect X lenses, which are already available. There are tons of different lenses that fall into that category, and any lenses that you may already own from their iPhone X line will work with this clip.

The gadget will be available in mid-September for $59, with the Connect X lenses already starting at $44.99. And don't forget to check out everything else that's been announced at IFA this year, either!
