If you've toyed with the idea of signing up for Sprint's $15 unlimited talk, text, and data offer you may have to decide a little sooner than you'd hoped because the promotion has proven to be too popular for the carrier to handle. Sprint has announced that it plans to pull the offer on Friday night at 11:59 PM ET after announcing the deal just a week ago.
Sprint's intention of creating a buzz and luring customers away from Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile would appear to have worked too well. Although the carrier is tight-lipped on how many new subscribers the promotion pulled in, it has said that there has been ‘heavy demand.'
You can only sign up if you are switching from another carrier. Unfortunately, new lines and upgrades aren't eligible to take advantage of the $15 Unlimited promotion. As with most things today, unlimited doesn't quite mean unlimited, video streaming is throttled down to 480p and hotspots aren't supported. Sprint has said that it will also slow speeds when the network is congested, so there are a couple of things to ponder before signing up. But, it's still a great deal all things considered.
Sprint's promotion page is currently offline, so you'll have to wait until it's back up to sign up to the $15 Unlimited promotion online, although you could always do it the old-fashioned way and give the carrier a call on 866-275-1411.
