The LG V30S ThinQ was announced earlier this year ahead of the LG G7 ThinQ in a very odd move, but it still hasn't officially been released in the US. With this timing, it looks like the V30S will be available around the same time as the G7 in just a few months, which means LG will have two totally different flagship products competing with each other. Oh, but wait, it gets worse.
The LG V30S ThinQ has been listed at online retailer B&H for a whopping $930, which will make it one of the most expensive devices on the market. The V30S ThinQ is nearly identical to the original V30, except it has slightly more memory (6GB instead of 4GB) and more storage (128GB instead of 64GB), although there is a bigger 256GB variant that will inevitably be more expensive than the $930. It picked up some extra AI camera features which we're also seeing in the G7 ThinQ.
The G7 ThinQ has slightly less memory with just 4GB of RAM, although it does have a better CPU with the Snapdragon 845 and some extra AI features that even the V30S ThinQ does not have. So unless the G7 ends up being even ridiculously expensive, the V30S is DOA in the US.
So, um. Good job, LG.
