With news that the HTC U11 unlocked version is getting the Android Oreo update starting today, Cyber Monday may be shaping up to be a sweet treat for some smartphone owners. Add another group to the list as LG started rolling out the beta version of Android Oreo to LG V30 and V30+ owners in Korea who had signed up for the the beta testing program.
LG started accepting registrations for the beta program earlier this month and they may still be accepting spots even at this late date. Users have confirmed that the update is applicable for both the LG V30 and the LG V30+, the latter of which only differs in the amount of onboard storage available.
According to LG, they plan to rollout the official Android Oreo update to the LG V30 and V30+ during December to customers in Korea. The European and U.S. versions of the update are expected to follow closely after that, though it is unclear whether that will happen before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, no word yet on the Android Oreo update for the LG G6 which was released earlier this year. Source believe LG may be watching how the V30 rollout goes and collecting feedback before attempting to release an update for the LG G6.
