Smartwatches don't have to be so expensive, but Casio is trying to give a very specific consumer a tailored device. That's why you better be ready to pay big bucks if you're going to buy the ProTrek WSD-F20. Casio's latest smartwatch, which is powered by the latest version of Android Wear 2.0, just went up on Amazon with a hefty price tag.

The ProTrek WSD-F20 includes a two-layer display measuring 1.32 inches capable of showing a full-color map, a GPS, location memory, and all of the things Android Wear 2.0 offers. No one will deny this wearable is for outdoor enthusiasts.

Chances are this smartwatch is not for you. That's okay. Other Android Wear 2.0-powered devices include the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style. Even older models with Google's wearable-based operating system are getting a software update for the upgrade. But, if you absolutely need the ProTrek WSD-F20, we'll tell you it's priced at $500.

Casio isn't messing around with its technology, and so you need to pay a premium to gain access to it all. Anyone who dares to drop $500 on this smartwatch in 2017 can choose between orange and black for color options.
