It's beginning to look like we won't get a successor to the HTC 10. The Taiwanese-based company took to Twitter to announce that it's upcoming flagship will be announced on May 16.
The phone has been rumored as the HTC Ocean; however, it's final name will probably be the HTC U, if the video teaser and past leaks are anything to go by. It wouldn't be too much of a surprise either, considering that we got the U Ultra and U Play earlier this year.

We're expecting this phone to have even better specifications than the U Ultra. The U Ultra only had a Snapdragon 821 processor, but HTC hopefully pegged the latest Snapdragon 835 for its flagship. We could also see the rumored pressure-sensitive frame, if the tagline “Squeeze for the Brilliant U” is indicative of anything. The hand in the teaser video even gives the phone a squeeze.
HTC will announce the HTC U on May 16 at 2:00 a.m. eastern time, or on May 15 at 11:00 p.m. pacific time.
