Phone sales are slowing down as the market gets more saturated, so naturally companies branch out into other markets to keep their profits and revenue up. Samsung has the Gear line of connected wearables, Apple sells the iPad and Apple Watch, Google is launching Google Home, and OnePlus is going to sell, uh, messenger bags and t-shirts. Makes sense.
The company has announced OnePlus Gear, which they're calling lifestyle products. It's actually backpacks, bags, and t-shirts to match your OnePlus device.
It's weird, but OnePlus really did go all out here. They're going to offer a travel backpack, a travel messenger bag and a leather messenger back, and two shirts with the “Dash Charge” and “Never Settle” slogan. Some of the products even come in colors to match the devices OnePlus sells.
These products were previously available at pop-up shops and giveaways, but now you'll be able to buy them from the OnePlus store with a very typical OnePlus catch. They'll be offered during a 24-hour sale on November 3rd starting at 6:00 AM eastern time, which makes it sound like they won't be available forever and there probably won't be tons and tons of stock. Surprisingly, you do not need an invite to purchase anything here.
