If you have been thinking about renovating your house, you might want to check out Lowe's. In a select few locations, Lowe’s Holoroom will let you see your new finished room in 3D before you lay down a single coat of paint.
You and a Lowe's employee will be able to create a room, add in 3D appliances, change the paint color, and much more all using an Oculus Rift VR headset. However, the absolute best part about this is after your 3D layout is done, Lowe's will save your design and give you a Google Cardboard to take home, so you can view your layout as you please.
I think this is a really cool idea, but the biggest problem is the extremely few locations that offer this experience. Only six stores in the US have Holoroom: Dublin, Fairborn, and West Carrolton in Ohio, and Fort Collins, Castle Rock, and Colorado Springs in Colorado. Lowe's plans on adding more locations soon, but if you are in any of the locations that offer it now, I suggest you go check it out.
