Back in September LEGO announced they were preparing an app that consumers who bought a LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robotics construction set could use to build and program their creations. That app, LEGO MINDSTORMS Programmer, is now available for Android in the Google Play Store.

The app comes with pre-built programs and building instructions for five EV3 robots named EV3RSTORM, TRACK3R, SPIK3R, GRIPP3R, and R3PTAR. There is also a set of missions that users can embark upon using the robots. Users are not limited to these designs though as they can go off on their own to develop robots and program them from scratch using several “blocks” that cause the robots to perform or respond with actions like walking, talking, shooting or grabbing.

If you have a tablet device and you have dropped some money to invest in a LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 set, use the link below to head to the Play Store to get the new app for building and programming your robotic creations.

  1. What are the requirements for the LEGO app? It says all my devices are not compatible? How can this be because I never hat incompatibilies with any app before?
