Tired of all the boring, standard apps that come with the Android platform? Well, maybe you should get yourself a Coby Kyros tablet, as it seems you could end up with some big surprises. According to a local news story, a little girl opened up a shiny new Android tablet on Christmas morning, started messing with it, and found some “questionable” apps pre-installed.
When asked about the situation, Michael Paladino, Coby's Senior Product Manager, said:
There is nothing preprogramed from Coby. LIke any other internet device with an open platform, a wide range of content is available which may require parental oversight.
Pretty sad that Coby did nothing here to remedy the situation. Could the little 12-year-old girl have downloaded “Boobs! Butts! Babes!” and “Undress Me” on her own? Possibly, but that's pretty unlikely. If I were the parents, I would – at the very least – be asking for an exchange for a brand new tablet… same model, of course.

Yes but I think neither of these are on the market. Someone LIKELY got one, tried these apps and saw how sucky it was and then returned it without wiping.
Also neither of these are what I would call “porn”. They are risqué, but none are porn. They show bikini clad boobs, butts and babes….including the other one.
Seeing as I couldn’t get ours to connect to the market at all, it’s unlikely she was able to download anything!
This was likely a return that was rewrapped.
1. I would have liked to wake up Christmas morning and found an Android tablet under the tree for me.
2. Would have loved it even more if it had porn already on it for me!!!
