burger king galaxy s5Yep, that's a device that looks strikingly similar to Samsung's Galaxy S 5. It's also running iOS. Burger King doesn't think that's weird at all.

Not too long ago, the fast food chain kicked off a promotion where they would give away a smartphone (with qualifying two-year agreement) to try to and advertise its brand new BK application. Like any good fast food promotion, there is a website with more information, plus some printed material that's used in store. Some keen redditors noticed that those promo materials features some weird devices.

The picture above is whats used on Burger King's website. It's an unbranded GS5 running Apple's iOS, which is really strange since the GS5 is not available through Burger King's promotion. There are also no AT&T phones available whatsoever, even though that phone is on AT&T's network… It gets better, though.

The printed material inside BK stores is actually a Galaxy S 5 running's HTC's dated Sense 3.0 software. Since we're up to Sense 6.0 right now, Burger King's promotional team really dropped the ball on that one. At least the iOS screenshot looks recent.

So Burger King is advertising a phone they aren't giving away, running two different pieces of software that also aren't on any phones they're offering, on a carrier that doesn't support any of their phones. At least they  canstill cook burgers pretty well, right?
