Samsung's Galaxy A series has always been about bringing the best of its flagship experience to more people. With the Galaxy A57 5G, that pitch is stronger than it has been in years.

The headline number is six. Six years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. For a phone at this price point, that kind of long-term commitment significantly changes the value calculation. You are not just buying what the A57 5G can do today. You are buying what it will still be doing in 2031.

The design has been reworked to match the ambition. At 6.9mm and 179g, the A57 5G is a genuinely slim phone with a glossy finish and a distinctive triple-camera island that looks the part without screaming budget. The Super AMOLED Plus display runs at up to 120Hz with Vision Booster for outdoor clarity, and slimmer bezels make the most of the 6.7-inch panel.

Camera performance is one of the bigger selling points here. The A57 5G features a triple-camera setup, led by a 50MP main sensor, with an improved Image Signal Processor. Low-light performance has been improved through Samsung's Nightography processing, and faster shutter speeds mean you are less likely to miss the moment. AI tools like Object Eraser, Best Face, and Auto Trim handle a lot of the heavy lifting in editing so you can shoot and share without spending time on post-processing.
On the AI side, the A57 5G ships with One UI 8.5 and Samsung's latest Awesome Intelligence features. Voice Transcription turns call recordings and voicemails into searchable text. Circle to Search now handles multiple objects in a single image. AI Select sits a long press away via the Edge Panel. These are tools people will actually use rather than features that exist to fill a spec sheet.

Performance is backed by upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU hardware paired with a 5,000mAh battery that Samsung says will last up to two days. Super Fast Charging 2.0 gets you to 60 percent in around 30 minutes, and a 13 percent larger vapor chamber keeps thermals in check during longer sessions.
Knox Vault brings hardware-level security to the mid-range for the first time, sitting alongside Privacy Alerts, Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, and the new Private Album feature. IP68 water- and dust-resistance rounds out a device built to handle real life.
The Galaxy A57 5G goes on sale from April 9 in Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac. The Galaxy A57 5G lands at $550 for the 8GB/128GB model, rising to $610 for 256GB. The Galaxy A37 5G undercuts it at $450 for 6GB/128GB, or $540 for 8GB/256GB.
