We saw leaked images of the HTC One (M8 Eye) earlier in the week, and now we have the HTC Desire Eye. The question is which one will we see next Wednesday in New York City?
While the HTC One (M8 Eye) appears to be more of a replica of the HTC One (M8), the Desire Eye appears to be the cheaper version of the two Eye phones. It sports plastic, but the specs appear to be about the same. You will also notice that the rear camera lens isn't centered like on the One (M8 Eye) or even the One (M8). However the front-facer is centered, but the One (M8 Eye) isn't.

The Desire Eye will sport a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, a Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 13 MP rear camera, 13 MP front-facing camera, 2,400 mAh battery, IPX7 rating, and Sense 6 for EYE. The key spec here is the 13 MP front-facing camera, which could make this the perfect self indulgent selfie camera in the world, aside from the One (M8 Eye).
So what do you guys think? Is the selfie craze overdone or are consumers craving for high quality front-facing lenses? Let us know in the comments.
Ipx7 interests me the most, 30 minutes in up to a metre of water. Still think I will go for S5 with IR beamer and nfc payment option.
