While some may have dismissed the Galaxy Alpha as too little too late, the device is certainly a step in a different direction from Samsung's normal stable of devices. The device couples a metal design, decent specs, and the latest flavor of Android. It's also the first to feature Samsung's 5430 Exynos processor — the first ever HKMG 20nm chip — and unlike other Samsung devices, doesn't come with a microSD card. Even so, it comes with 32GB of internal storage. While it may be the first from Samsung to feature the metal design, it certainly won't be the last as the company plans on announcing more “A Series” devices within the next few weeks.
According to insiders for SamMobile, Samsung is looking at announcing three devices as a part of the initial launch. They will sport model names SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700 and are expected to cover a variety of pricing tiers. The SM-A300 will sport a qHD display at a resolution of 960×540 while the other two will come with HD displays.
To add validity to this insider information, the SM-A500 is already listed up on the company's web site (below) confirming both an HD display and that it will be running KitKat. All three devices will have similar designs to that of the Galaxy Alpha and will have better front-facing cameras than current Samsung devices.

The insiders peg the launch of these devices at sometime within the third quarter this year, so within the next month or two.

Ok, Samsung is now officially Apple. No SD card, No removable battery. Locked down bootloader and almost unusable interface. What a shame.
