Earlier this week, HTC announced that its proprietary software would launch in the Play Store for other Android devices. The company's first application part of this new strategy is now available to download. Zoe is an app that can put together highlight videos based on the content captured with your device. It works with both photographs and videos to produce the final product. Users sign in with a Google, Facebook, or HTC account.
Zoe can serve two purposes. It has editing features to enhance your highlight reel. There are filters and users can attach a soundtrack. Then there is the social aspect. A profile contains a users content and others can like and comment on it. Also, content can be shared to other social networks. There is an option to choose who can see what on your profile. The entire app is in beta and the first full version will not arrive until sometime this fall. Because of this, HTC is open to any feedback in order to improve Zoe.

Update: There are reports that Zoe is not working with some devices. From the get-go HTC named the Galaxy S 5 and Nexus 5 as devices it will work with. If you are not able to get Zoe to operate with your Android 4.4 device right now, have some patience. The company is in the process of whitelisting additional devices:
Quick update: more Android 4.4 devices will be whitelisted for the Zoe (Beta) app as we test. Hang tight and thanks for all the interest!

Not compatible with all devices yet. Still a limited set of devices certainly not for my G3
The company is actively whitelisting Android 4.4 devices. Just have patience! This is probably so they do not get a massive influx of users and then have to work on managing bugs with different devices all at once.
Don’t even think they are whitelisting, as while it says my Nexus 4 with 4.4 is not supported, but it is letting me install it onto my Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 that is running unofficial CM 4.4 on it. I cant imagine htc ever allowing that setup to work in reality. It is very odd (although very amusing!)
