Although Sony does not have a big presence in the United States mobile industry, it does have a go-to carrier for launching new devices. That carrier is T-Mobile and the company looks like it will be doing so with the upcoming Xperia Z3.

An FCC filing has shown that the Xperia Z3 is being tested on John Legere & Co.'s network without actually saying so. The FCC filing is showing that the handset is capable of operating on 3G/4G bands 5, 2, and 4. For LTE, it has been tested on bands 12, 2, and 4. All of these bands are supported by T-Mobile.

So while this does not explicitly confirm T-Mobile would pick up Sony's next flagship, it does make it even more likely. Prior to this, a source has made it known the Xperia Z3 would be in T-Mobile's lineup.

The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be introduced at IFA 2014 next month.
